Hair Raising
Hair Raising
You are probably wondering why I posted a picture of our darling grand baby and his crazy hair other than he is stinking cute and his face is enough to make you smile!
Well, let’s chat a second and I will answer your question.
I had to have some medical testing done today and due to the nature of the test, I wasn’t too excited. As I entered the room, the sweet technician started talking to me like we had been friends forever. I must say her friendly nature made hanging out in a paper gown less uncomfortable.
We talked about our children and how much we love them. Then she shared a part of her life story with me. I couldn’t believe what she was telling me. Her story was identical to one of my loved ones life experiences.
Only my loved one is in the middle of living her story. She told me how she decided to pray one day after years of pushing God away. Suddenly things began to change in her life and now she has the most amazing circumstances and lives a happy life. Then she said, “I don’t know if you are Christian or not but I believe in the power of prayer.”
I sat there in my crinkled up paper gown with tears in my eyes and I knew that I needed to hear her story today. She counseled with me and gave me suggestions on how to support my loved one.
The hair on my arms stood up just like the hair on Lucas head.
I know Heavenly Father knew my heart was hurting and he sent an angel to comfort me today.
I do believe in the power of prayer and Heavenly Father sent this technician to me to guide me and give me hope. Her willingness to share her story with me brought me peace that I had been praying for!
Thank you for taking a moment to read my ramblings. I hope this little experience reminds you of times when the hair stood up on your arms because you knew your prayers had been heard.
May you all have a “hair stand up” kind of week, as you recognize Gods hand in your life!
